Panic prevailed as the smoke thickened and also engulfed the nearby shop. Fire tenders were called in. It took five fire fighting vehicles to take an hour to douse the flames. Goods worth over several lakhs have been reportedly gutted in the fire while no casualty took place.
One shot: One Pramod Kumar was shot dead on Wednesday morning in an area under Malsalami police station in Patna City.
City SP Shivdeep Lande said that Kumar's murder seems to be a fallout of a love triangle. The SP said that he was shot by another youth involved in this triangle. However, he refused to disclose the name as investigations were on.
The SP, though, said that Kumar himself had criminal antecedents and was a murder convict and has served jail terms in this connection earlier. The accused has been detained, the SP added.
